Important Notes

• GEFA HEAR rebates require household income at or below 150% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for your county, based on HUD 2024 limits.
• Below 80% AMI: GEFA may cover up to 100% of eligible project costs, up to the program maximums. Between 80–150% AMI: GEFA covers up to 50% of your actual project cost, not to exceed the program maximum.
• GEFA treats air sealing, duct sealing, and attic insulation as a single pool with a combined cap of $1,600. The rebate shown is split evenly across whichever of the three you select.
• Georgia Power HEIP total rebates are capped at $2,500 per year per household. Rebates for air sealing, duct sealing, and attic insulation vary by heating type. Select all three to receive the $200 bundle bonus.
• The Georgia Power $1,000 Heat Pump HVAC rebate applies only when converting from an electric furnace (non-heat pump) to a heat pump system. It is not available if you already have a heat pump or are converting from gas.
• Heat pump HVAC systems (*) must meet ENERGY STAR "Most Efficient" requirements. Heat pump water heaters (^) must be ENERGY STAR certified.
• Georgia Power also offers a $500 rebate for ductless mini-split heat pumps (ENERGY STAR certified) through its HEIP midstream program. This rebate is applied as a discount at the point of sale through a participating distributor — ask your contractor about it when getting quotes.
• City of Decatur residents may also qualify for additional rebates through the Decatur Community Energy Rebate Program. Visit electrifydecatur.com for details.
